Every Little Bit Helps

Every little bit helps is a Sydney-based charity aiming to support the homeless, and those seeking refuge due to domestic violence. Established with the specific purpose of supporting people in need, it is the belief of Every Little Bit Helps that every Australian should have access to a toothbrush and a bar of soap. Also, by supplying basic toiletries to people in need, the charity is providing not only overlooked essentials, but a little bit of dignity.

The catalyst for establishing Every Little Bit Helps was that while there are many facilities providing laundry and shower facilities to those in difficult situations, most are able to supply little more than running water, and do not have regular or reliable access to basic toiletry products. Until now, as ELBH packs and donates these products to shelters regularly. Cherrybrook Travel firmly believes in this cause, and we appeal to our generous and kind-hearted clients for help.

We are participating in a collection of hotel toiletries, airline amenity kits, make-up and cosmetic samples and sanitary items. Please bring any of these sample sized items that you may have and put them in the 'Little Red Bin' that resides within our office in Westleigh Shopping Village. Or, if you are travelling soon then we ask that you collect all packs or amenities provided, as if hotel staff are unsure if they have been used then they are wasted and thrown away.

Once collected, the charity is able to supply these products, packed into our care packages, to the homeless, asylum seekers, victims of Domestic Violence and troubled youths through Women’s Refuge, Homeless Shelters, Youth Centres, Asylum and Community Centres as well as via small Government and Community Groups.

All Australians deserve our help, and deserve to have basic human dignity. Your donation does not need to be large; anything donated will be appreciated, as every little bit helps.
